College of Agriculture and Kentucky Cooperative
Extension Service, this facility opened in 1987 as an
educational retreat for 4-H and other groups looking
for a place to escape urban distractions and learn.
University students, Road Scholars, folk dancers,
quilters, family reunions and many others have found
at the Center a laid-back place with simple,
comfortable accommodations, good food, natural
surroundings and a peaceful atmosphere conducive
to creativity and accomplishment.

atmosphere to the lodge building,
which houses meeting rooms and
a large dining hall.

|Over two hundred guests can
be lodged in several dormitory
wings of rooms that can sleep
up to four people.
|Each guest room is a trip back
to summer camp, with its
stained wood surfaces and
bunk beds, yet each is
equipped with its own private
bathroom, heating/cooling unit
and wi-fi reception. As each
room is “adopted” and
decorated by an organization,
business or family, no two are
